Remote Freelance Writer for App Testing – Entry Level

In this Remote Freelance Writer position, you'll be among the first to try brand-new apps, dig into how they work, and craft thoughtful critiques that capture your experience. The insights you provide help product teams make meaningful improvements, while also creating valuable content our readers will appreciate.

Roles: Install and systematically evaluate apps on your own device, diving deep into each feature and capability. Produce detailed write-ups that showcase the strengths of each app while documenting any glitches, problems, or areas for improvement you discover.

Requirements: You'll need to have at least one supported device available: iPhone, iPad, Android phone, or Android tablet.

Contract length: Ongoing, with no set end date.

Rate: $35 hourly (adjusted based on app complexity and the thoroughness of your testing).

Skills/background needed:

• Ownership of a mobile device capable of downloading and running apps
• Ability to work independently and organize your own time
• Meticulous attention to detail and comfort following defined testing guidelines
• Availability of at least 5 hours each week
• Reliable, consistent internet connection

Hours per week: You control your own hours.

Location: Work from home anywhere remotely (US-based candidates preferred). We're expanding our distributed team for this role.
