At Home Game Tester – Beginner Level (No Experience Required)

Roles: You'll be one of the first people playing our unreleased games, serving as our quality checkpoint. Your mission is to identify bugs, analyze gameplay flow, critique visual presentation, and provide frank commentary on how the game feels. You're essentially a player-advocate ensuring quality before launch.

Rate:

• $35 per hour, with adjustments made based on title complexity and testing depth required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Systematically play through upcoming titles to discover bugs, crashes, frame rate issues, and other technical problems.
• Deliver detailed feedback addressing game mechanics, graphical fidelity, narrative quality, and overall player experience.
• Execute targeted test cases to confirm games perform reliably under various scenarios and conditions.
• Collaborate with fellow testers and dev teams to compare notes, discuss problems, and propose fixes.
• Keep meticulous records of your testing sessions with complete bug documentation and actionable feedback.

Requirements:

• A genuine history of playing games—formal QA training is unnecessary.
• You naturally spot problems others overlook with keen attention to detail.
• You're able to communicate technical problems in ways both programmers and designers understand.
• Video games are a real passion for you, and you play across different types and systems regularly.
• You'll need reliable internet and either a gaming PC or console setup depending on assignment requirements.
